A Company Rich In Tradition
Cerro’s precursor was originally founded in 1908 as a scrap iron dealer. In the 1920’s Cerro innovated electrolysis as a process to refine pure grades of copper at our present location in East St Louis IL USA.

1939 – Cerro built our first copper tube mill
As the U.S. entered World War II, Cerro made parts for projectiles, tube for cargo and combat ships and other war products.
1975 – Marmon Holdings, Inc. (formerly known as The Marmon Motor Car Company; Winner of the first Indianapolis 500 in 1911 with the Marmon Wasp) acquired Cerro Copper Products Co.

1981 – Cerro opens Shelbina, Missouri plant for the production of precision, thin-wall copper tube for the OEM industrial market.
1996 – One of the only continuous billet casting facilities in the U.S., Cerro Copper Casting opens in Mexico, Missouri.
2004 – Cerro Copper consolidates its operating companies under the name Cerro Flow Products LLC. While maintaining our focus on a tradition of copper, Cerro is expanding with additional market driven products. The new structure is designed to ensure that customers receive industry-leading customer service and new innovations in flow product solutions.
2008 – Cerro celebrates 100 years of providing excellent service and solutions to its valued customers. Berkshire Hathaway Inc. purchased majority interest in Marmon.
2009 – Cerro opens a new facility in Vinita Park, Missouri, dedicated to the manufacturing line sets for the HVAC market.
Today – Cerro’s industry leading expertise as a manufacturer of copper tubing has enabled us to grow into a full-service company. In this role, Cerro Flow Products LLC is proud to offer the strength and reliability of a trusted name as we continue to expand into new flow control solutions.
